We have several internet options available for RVers.
The first is the Redport Halo (US$399), which allows you to receive any open 2.4 GHz WI-FI network up to 10 kilometers away.
If going a little further off grid, we have portable satellite internet terminals (C$1,700-18,500) which are the size of a small laptop and broadcast a 100 foot wireless signal which allows internet access at speeds up to 700 kbps.
Next, we have the RV Datasat 840 (C$9500 new or C$4995 demo) this is a roof mounted antenna that can receive internet speeds up to 2 Mbps. Plans start at US$79 per month on a 12 month commitment.
If you require faster speeds, the next option is a full size, 1.2 meter to 1.8 meter VSAT antenna (from US$12,500). VSAT service offers speeds up to 25 MBPS, with monthly fees starting at US$599.00 per month. Twelve month term applies.
